3 Kids....What????

So we have now moved from man to man defense to zone.  I am not saying it is easy by any means, but it helps having the older two a little older and somewhat independent.  It's also been an interesting transition to having an infant again...we really started over!! I remember my sister in law, Kinsey, asking me when I was pregnant what we needed for the baby and I told her we needed everything... and we did! We had gotten rid of everything baby since we hadn't planned on any more.

Having a baby again is almost like riding a bike in the sense that we have remembered most of the important stuff. :)  Our first whoopsie was on Christmas day, when we had gone to my parents for our first family Christmas. I was holding Carson on the couch during present time and we were in the corner of the room.  Toward the end of all the kids opening (there were 8 kids) Carson started getting fussy, so I stood with him to do the baby bounce and sway. I was also going to plug him up.  We call the pacifier a "plug", but at that moment I could not find his plug.  We searched around the little area where we had been sitting, pulled up couch cushions, moved gifts around, moved wrapping paper all the while little Carson kept getting more and more mad.  We could not find his plug anywhere and it was a mystery to me because I had not moved from that little spot the entire time.  The next step was going through the garbage bags of wrapping paper.  During all the digging my brother, Joey, said, "You would think with this being her third kid she would have packed an extra."  He was right....you would think I would be prepared!!!  I kept using the phrase "6 years" because it had been 6 years since I had had a newborn!  Needless to say the first thing I did when we got home was pack an extra plug in the diaper bag!!

I know that it will probably happen again at some point...I will forget to pack something for someone.  But a great story to remember at Christmas time!

Another crazy moment happened when Kyle and I had to make a trip to the mall. We went when Drew and Blake were at school, so we only had Carson with us.  The crazy moment was unloading the STROLLER from the van and then pushing the STROLLER around the mall.  We kept repeating, "Oh my gosh...we are pushing a stroller around the mall."

Even today the little man is napping and it seems so surreal that we have a baby.  I cannot even imagine our lives without him now.  I am so thankful for him and for his awesome big brothers!!

Surprise

I am back!!!  Not sure how often, but hoping to get back on the "blog wagon" to better document what our family is up to!  I used to have this blog to keep our family updated since we lived far away, but now we are home!!!  So...onto my first post...

This year has been full of changes for our family!  We took our first really big vacation to Florida!  We spent two days at Disney (my first time), one day at Cocoa Beach, one shopping day, and had a couple down days. One evening we met up with my best friend and her family who were there as well at Downtown Disney for dinner! It was a great time...we had a blast!

When we returned from Disney we got a huge surprise!  We found out we were having a baby!!  I found out on April 22 and told Kyle the next day.  We were super shocked and after that wore off our shock turned into excitement!  We were due December 26th.

Summer was full of baseball!  It was Drew's first year in Pinto and Blake played t-ball.  Drew ended up making the all star team, so that extended the season for another few weeks.  When it was all said and done we were sad and relieved....it was a busy few months! Plus we learned that we were going to have another BOY!!!  Carson Hamilton!

Before we knew it school was starting! Drew started 2nd grade and Blake started kindergarten.  It was an interesting transition for our family, but a good one.  The boys both got great teachers and love school

Fall flew by as we learned to balance school, Kyle's crazy work schedule, my part time schedule, and I started babysitting 3 days per week. Throw in tons of baby doctors appointments and non-stress tests and before we knew it the holidays were upon us!

Two great family Thanksgivings, a couple days after Kyle and I went out to do our Christmas shopping because I was 36 weeks pregnant and we weren't sure when the little mister would show up!  We made a long evening of it for two reasons....it was our last date night before becoming a family of 5 and I needed to take frequent breaks from being on my feet!  Ha!  Here I was at 37 weeks...3 days before Carson was born...

Carson Hamilton Turner made us a family of 5 on December 8th at 11:28 pm!!

He is one month old today and as it always does....time had FLOWN by!!!  We are adjusting to our new normal and are super excited to be settling in.  Times get a little crazy and I know that as he grows it will get crazier....but this is our Paradise!
